Common issues

The alarm is not ringing

Ember needs permission to schedule alarms and show them on the lock screen. Make sure alarm/notification access is granted and that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing it. On Android, also allow exact alarms and exclude Ember from battery optimization.

The scan check will not recognize my code

Scan the exact code you saved in Settings → Barcodes. If the camera will not start, grant camera access or enter the code manually. You can save several codes and rename them.

The walk challenge is not counting steps

The walk challenge needs motion/step access. Allow Motion & Fitness on iOS or Physical Activity on Android. If the alarm keeps bursting while you walk, keep moving; it only stays quiet while steps are detected.

My streak or score looks wrong

A day counts when you complete a scheduled wake-up check; a missed scheduled wake-up breaks the streak, and days with no alarm stay neutral. Scores reward finishing checks quickly, and audible rings reduce the total.
