1. Provider and acceptance
Ember Content Desk is provided by Geordan Gesink, Haesselackerstraße 3, 69198 Schriesheim, Germany. Contact: support@emberalarm.com. By installing or using Content Desk, you agree to these terms and TikTok's separate terms and policies.
2. Creator eligibility and account authorization
Content Desk is for independent creators who are legally able to use TikTok and who connect only an account they own or are expressly authorized to control. You must not use it to impersonate another person, operate deceptive account networks, evade enforcement, or publish on an account without the account holder's informed permission.
3. License and availability
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the macOS application for lawful creator work. The review build is provided without charge. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features for security, policy, technical, or legal reasons.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant us the limited permission needed to process, render, temporarily host, and transmit the exact content you approve to TikTok. You confirm that you have all rights needed for images, text, people depicted, trademarks, and music.
You must not submit content that:
- is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or violates privacy rights
- contains unauthorized watermarks, logos, links, or promotional material
- misrepresents commercial relationships or omits required disclosures
- mislabels realistic AI-generated or materially altered content
- violates TikTok's Community Guidelines, developer rules, or posting limits
5. Review and publishing responsibility
Generation and scheduling do not authorize publication. Before each Direct Post, you must inspect the full preview, verify the destination account, edit copy if needed, choose every available privacy and interaction setting, make accurate commercial and AI disclosures, confirm music rights, and give final consent. You are responsible for those choices and for the post after it reaches TikTok.
6. Tokens, limits, and third-party services
Keep your Mac and TikTok account secure. Disconnect Content Desk and revoke access if a device or credential may be compromised. TikTok, Vercel, Supabase, Apple, and other infrastructure providers operate under their own terms. TikTok controls account eligibility, privacy options, moderation, API limits, processing, and post visibility. Content Desk cannot override those decisions.
7. No guaranteed publication
A submission can be delayed, rejected, moderated, rate-limited, or left with an unknown status by TikTok or network failures. Content Desk blocks automatic retries when they could create a duplicate. You must check the displayed status and your TikTok account before trying again.
8. Termination and deletion
You may stop using Content Desk at any time, disconnect TikTok, and remove its local workspace. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, protect users, comply with TikTok's requirements, or meet legal obligations.
9. Warranty and liability
Content Desk is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be limited. We remain liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, and otherwise as required by law.
10. Privacy and governing law
The Content Desk Privacy Notice explains the data flow. German law applies subject to mandatory consumer protections. The agreed place of jurisdiction is Schriesheim, Germanywhere legally permitted.
