Install and launch
Download the signed Apple-silicon macOS build, unzip it, and move it to Applications. Because this first public build is Developer ID signed but not yet notarized, Control-click the app, choose Open, then confirm Open once. Content Desk creates its private workspace in your user Library and never needs an administrator password.
Connect or reconnect TikTok
Open Accounts, choose the promotion-free creator profile, and select Connect TikTok. Verify the TikTok account shown on the consent screen. Reconnect when Content Desk says a required scope is missing or TikTok access has expired.
Why permissions are requested
- Basic profile access confirms the destination account.
- Direct Post access sends only the post approved in the final review.
- Upload-to-draft access sends an editable draft only when you choose Send to TikTok app; you finish and publish it inside TikTok.
Import your carousel
Under Pending review, choose Create from your images. Select exactly four JPEG, PNG, or WebP files in posting order, add the title, caption, and optional hashtags, then confirm that you may publish every image and that the complete post is promotion-free. Content Desk fits the images locally without cropping, strips embedded metadata, and creates a complete preview. Inspect every slide before you approve it; structural checks cannot identify a logo, promotion, or rights issue inside an image.
Review and publish
Open an approved four-photo post and select Review & post. Choose every setting, make accurate commercial and AI disclosures, confirm music usage and final consent, then select Post to TikTok once. If the result is unknown, check TikTok before retrying; Content Desk blocks automatic retries that could duplicate a post.
Sandbox limits
Before TikTok completes its audit, test posts are private and must use SELF_ONLY. Sandbox access is limited to invited target users. This restriction cannot be removed from Content Desk.
Disconnect and delete
Use Disconnect in Accounts to revoke the TikTok connection and remove its macOS Keychain credential. Delete the Content Desk workspace from your user Library to remove local posts and generated files. Hosted review photos expire automatically after one hour.
